Grocery shop employee fakes loot, case registered

Indore: Bhanwarkuan police have registered a case against a grocery shop employee for staging a loot with himself in order to avoid paying money borrowed from his employer.

Bhanwarkuan police station in-charge Rajkumar Yadav said that they had received information from 32-year-old Naushad, resident of Kohinoor Colony, that he was on his way from IT Park to Rajiv Gandhi square when he was looted of a bag filled with Rs 1.5 lakh cash by unidentified men who threw chilly powder in his eyes and stabbed him.

Acting on the information, a team was rushed to the spot and investigation started.

Police smelt a rat while talking to the complainant and looking at his injuries and inspected the crime scene. They spoke to locals and kiosk owners but none of them said that they saw any crime happening at the spot.

They then quizzed the complainant and he accepted that he had faked the loot. He had borrowed Rs 1.5 lakh from his employer Idrish Khan, but did not have money to return to him and so decided to fake a loot. He brought chilly powder and a sharp steel spoon with him and attacked himself.
