Hapur rape case: Prime suspect spotted with country-made liquor escapes even as locals inform cops

Hapur: Days after a 6-year-old girl was allegedly raped in Hapur area of Uttar Pradesh, the locals spotted the prime accused in the case. The accused man was seen on the outskirts of his village in Amroha with country-made liquor on Monday. 

The accused was identified as Dalpat. A resident of Mahmoodpur village in Gajraula, Amroha, the man managed to give the cops a slip even as the locals alerted them. 

After being informed by the locals, the police formed several teams and started checking the forested areas. For the last 6 days, police teams have been checking the green cover near Hapur's Garhi and Amroha's Gajraula. 

Minor abducted, raped by accused 

The incident took place on Thursday when a 6-year-old girl was allegedly abducted from outside her home in Garhi and was raped. On Friday, the girl was found at a spot located around 2 kilometres away from her house.

The girl was rushed to the district hospital. From the local hospital, the girl was referred to the Lala Lajpat Rai Memorial Medical College in Meerut. Reportedly, the girl had suffered injuries on her private parts. A doctor told The Times of India

, "A separate tube has been surgically placed to ensure disposal of faecal matter. "

On Monday, the Hapur police released the sketches of the three suspects. A cop privy to the case stated that the accused was known to the child as eyewitnesses claimed that the girl did not resist while accompanying him.
