Haryana nears 1 lakh tests, 29 more found infected

CHANDIGARH: Covid-19 tests carried out so far in Haryana were to cross 1-lakh mark as the number of collected in the state hit 99,987, taking the state's testing rate to 3,944 per million.

The state continued to get fresh cases of the coronvairus as 29 people tested positive for it. With this, the number of Covid-19 cases reached 1,213.

Also, 36 patients were discharged from hospitals, with which the state's recovery rate improved to 66.12%. Of the 99,987 samples collected, 94,725 have tested negative and results of over 4,000 samples are awaited.

According to the state bulletin, 13 new cases are from Gurugram, which tops the table with 283 cases. It is followed by four new cases in Sonipat, three each in Kurukshtra and Jind , two in Faridabad , and one each in Charkhi Dadri, Hisar , Fatehabad and Karnal.

In recoveries, 18 patient were discharged in Gurugram, eight in Sonipat, five in Karnal, two each in Bhiwani and Mahendragarh , and one each in Rohtak and Panipat. Now, number of patients discharged from hospitals has risen to 807 and number of active cases has come down to 395.
