A single bench of Rajasthan HC issued notices to the Union ministry of minority affairs through its under secretary and dargah committee through its president and Shaqeel Ahmed, the Nazim of dargah committee, on the appointment of Nazim at the dargah of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishty in Ajmer. Notices were issued following a petition filed by one peer Nafees Miyan, who maintained in his petition that in December 2018, through advertisement, applications were invited for the post of Nazim of dargah committee of Ajmer shrine.

“In this advertisement, it was clearly mentioned that the candidate aged not less than 45 and not more than 55 is eligible for the post. Allowed age bracket was 45-55 years for candidates applying for the post of Nazim.
