Health minister visits flood-affected areas in East Godavari

East Godavari: Alla Kali Krishna Srinivas ( Nani ), deputy chief minister and minister of health visited the Agency areas in the district on Friday and reviewed the medical services being provided to tribals in government hospitals. The minister warned officials of stern action if health of tribals is neglected.

The deputy CM observed that the flood has increased in the Agency area this year due to the construction of the coffer dam in Polavaram. At the meeting at the ITDA office, Nani directed authorities to conduct a three-day sanitation drive in the flood-affected areas. He further directed officials to chlorinate drinking water in overhead tanks frequenty and bring in sanitation staff from the plains.

The minister also asked officials to conduct medical camps in Rampa Chodavaram and Chintur ITDA limits. TNN
