Here're details of the 80 new COVID-19 cases in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Of the 80 fresh COVID-19 positive cases reported in Odisha today, 71 were lodged in different temporary medical camps (TMCs) following their return from various states post the lockdown while two were under home quarantine.

However, remaining seven patients were local contacts, including three each from Ganjam and Gajapati and one each from Jharsuguda and Malkangiri.

The 80 fresh cases reported today are from Ganjam (19), Jajpur (14), Balasore (3), Puri (17), Cuttack (1), Sundargarh (5), Nayagarh (5), Balangir (1), Malkangiri (5), Kandhamal (2), Jharsuguda (3), Gajapati (4) and  Nabarangpur (1).

Worth mentioning, the deadly virus has spread to two new districts in Odisha after Nabarangpur and Gajapati reported 1 and 4 maiden cases, respectively. With this, now 26 out of total 30 districts have COVID-19 positive cases. Currently, the total number of active cases in the state stands at 826. While  436 patients have recovered, 7 patients died of the deadly virus so far.
