Himachal Pradesh government announces additional pay benefits to contract teachers

SHIMLA: The Himachal Pradesh government has decided to pay additional benefits to para teachers , who have completed three years of service on contract basis, which includes a fixed DA of 144 per cent. The benefits will be payable from April .

In the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, cabinet approved to grant amount equal to minimum of pay band plus grade pay and fixed DA of 144 percent to PTA teachers who have completed three years of service as on October 1 last year.



The cabinet also approved in principle to set up a training academy or centre at Barchwar in Sarkaghat area of Mandi district to provide training to youths of the state interested to join Army, Navy, Air Force and other paramilitary forces through entrance tests conducted by Indian Military Academy, National Academy and Staff Selection Commission.

In another decision, nod was given to enhance the honorarium of anganwari workers, anganwari helpers and mini anganwari workers by Rs 100 from Rs. 6250 to Rs 6300, from Rs 3150 to Rs 3200 and from Rs. 4550 to Rs 4600 per month respectively from April 1 this year.

Cabinet approved filling up of 75 posts of agriculture extension officers on contract basis in Agriculture Department through direct recruitment by HP Staff Selection Commission, 62 posts of staff nurses in Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Government Medical College, Ner Chowk in Mandi district, 33 posts of staff nurses in Radha Krishanan Medical College Hamirpur on contract basis and to create four posts of Assistant District Attorney one each in every newly created Civil Court, Kullu , Banjar, Tissa and Shillai besides creation of three posts each of different categories for these Civil Courts.

It also decided to create additional posts of various categories in Police District Baddi to strengthen the police network besides purchasing of 30 motor cycles. Nod was given to fill 28 posts of different categories to operationalise the Regional Horticulture and Forestry Development and Extension Centre at Thunag in Mandi district.

It gave nod to procure and distribute school uniforms to school students of classes 1st to 12th under Atal school vardi yojna for the years 2018-19 and 2019-20 through e tender by HPSCSC Ltd. It also approved the proposal to make partial reorganization of Kullu and Banjar Divisions of Public Works Department under Kullu Circle to facilitate the local people of the areas. Now Sub Divisions Manali and Katrain will fall under Manali Division, Sub Divisions Kullu, Bhunter and Shaat under Kullu Division and Sub Divisions Banjar, Larji and Bajaura under PWD Division Banjar.
