Holly Willoughby 'torn' as she's ripped away from husband while trying to get career 'back on track'

After a string of difficult months, Holly Willoughby made a new move in her career with Netflix, but the opportunity comes at a great cost as she dreads leaving her family behind.

The former This Morning presenter will be at the helm of the streaming giant's new reality series, Bear Hunt

, due to drop in early 2025. Holly, 43, will be jetting off to Costa Rica alongside Bear Grylls and a string of celebs for the show next month, as reports have claimed, and will be looked after by a huge security team in the jungle.

But while the program comes as a boost for her career, Holly is finding it hard to spend time away from "her rock", her TV executive husband Daniel Baldwin - known for box successes such as Gladiators and with whom she was recently seen in a rare public appearance as a couple - and their three children.

One source told OK! Magazine that, while the star remains "a bit torn" over her decision to take on the new job, her relationship can withstand the distance. "She’s going to miss Dan and the family so was a bit torn about going back but she needs to get her career back on track and has to do this", the insider claimed.

"They’re a really strong couple and they can do distance. She got quite a knock after all the trolling last year and she wants to put it all behind her, this is a great new start", they added.

Holly and Daniel have been an item for several years, tying the knot in August 2007. The happy couple live in Barnes, London and share three children, Harry, 14, Belle, 12, eight-year-old Chester - but while their family is at the top of their priority list, the pair also reserve plenty of space for their successful careers.

Daniel notably fully supports his other half as she recovers from a gruelling year, which saw her embroiled in the aftermath of Phillip Schofield's "unwise but not illegal" affair and subsequent resignation from This Morning, before she became the target of an alleged murder plot. As Holly moves away from mainstream shows, she and her beau have made a pact.

"When Holly's husband Dan admitted he wants to do a Blind Date remake, everyone thought it would be Holly fronting the show", one insider told New! Magazine. "But the fact that he has eyed up Claudia Winkleman for it just goes to show that Holly is really trying to distance herself from the TV she's been associated with for so long."

The source continued: "In the past, she'd have jumped at the chance to do an iconic TV show like that. Dan knows she would be perfect, but they have decided that she needs to take a step away from the mainstream shows for a bit and concentrate on her re-brand. It's their marriage pact."
