Hyderabad: Heavy Rain Lashes Parts Of City, More Showers Predicted | IMD Forecast

Hyderabad: The city of Hyderabad witnessed heavy rainfall across some pockets of the city. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts rain or thundershowers to occur in the afternoon or evening as well, with a maximum temperature of around 39 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature hovering around 27 degrees Celsius on Saturday.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), a weather blogger with the username @balaji25_t (Telangana Weatheman) posted a visual of rain in the Jambagh-MJ Market area.

Another user shared visuals about rain and wrote, ''Looks like rain will last for at least more than 30 mins,'' in the caption.

Other pockets of the city also witnessed rainfall, such as the Malakpet region, Jeedimetla, etc.


As per another weather forecaster on X (formerly Twitter), the entire south of Hyderabad is witnessing good rains. It also mentioned that rain bands will further cover central city in the next 30 minutes.


Earlier, Telangana grappled with scorching heatwave conditions as temperatures soared above 44 degrees Celsius in various parts of the state. Nidamanoor in Nalgonda emerged as the hottest spot, registering a blistering 44.8 degrees Celsius.

Data from the Telangana State Development Planning Society highlighted Ayyagaripalle and Garla in Mahabubabad district, along with Munagala in Suryapet, Nampalle in Nalgonda, and Aswapuram in Bhadradri Kothagudem district, as the second-hottest locales, all recording a maximum temperature of 44.7 degrees Celsius.

The maximum temperature will be around 39-42 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature will hover around 24-27 degrees Celsius over the upcoming days, as per IMD forecast.

Hyderabad-Bound Flights Affected Amid Bad Weather In Dubai Recently, 12 flights between Hyderabad's Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) and Dubai International Airport were cancelled, alongside numerous delays affecting other flights. Major carriers including Emirates, IndiGo, FlyDubai, and Air India were among those affected, leaving numerous passengers stranded and their travel schedules disrupted. Comparable impacts were felt in other major cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, and Bangalore. Passengers turned to social media platform X to voice their concerns and seek clarity regarding their travel arrangements.
