India Women's Tour Of Bangladesh: Full Schedule & Live Streaming

The Indian women's cricket team, led by Harmanpreet Kaur, are all set to take on Bangladesh in a five-match T20I series beginning Sunday, April 28 in Sylhet. Smriti Mandhana, who led the Royal Challengers Bengaluru to the Women’s Premier League title earlier this year, will serve as Harmanpreet’s deputy. Jemimah Rodrigues, however, is out injured.

India had toured Bangladesh in 2023 for a white-ball series and although the hosts lost the T20I format (1-2), they managed to end the three-match ODI rubber 1-all.

Sajeevan Sajana and Asha Sobhana have been included in the Indian squad for the first time on the back of impressive performances in the WPL.

Bangladesh had lost both the WODI and WT20I series against Australia 3-0 at home in March-April this year and against India, they will look for redemption.

It will be the Indian women’s first international assignment since the three-match T20I series against Australia in January. Harmanpreet and Co. lost 2-1 at home and for her team as well, a good outing in Bangladesh will provide a major moral boost.

Last year, Bangladesh had won the first ODI before India levelled the series after securing a victory in the second match but the third and final ODI ended in a tie as both the sides shared the trophy.

Overall, India and Bangladesh women have faced each other 17 times till now. India won 14 of these head-to-head encounters while the Bangladesh women’s cricket team has come out on top on three occasions.

A controversy had erupted in the final ODI when captain Harmanpreet slammed the umpires for the decisions, terming them 'pathetic'. During the trophy photo session, she had asked the umpires to join them, deeming them responsible for helping Bangladesh draw the series.

Nigar Sultana, who was the Bangladesh skipper in that series, later had slammed Harmanpreet for being unprofessional.
