Inside Celebrity Cruises 'latest and greatest' ship as it sets sail in Europe

Celebrity Cruises' newest cruise ship is set to begin her first European adventure with a nine-night Italian Riviera and France itinerary. The Celebrity Ascent is the "latest and greatest" from the cruise line, described as "setting a new standard for the premium travel experience".

Guests can anticipate the widest range of staterooms and suites out of any of the cruise line's fleet, plus a whopping 32 restaurants, bars and lounges onboard.

Celebrity Cruises promises "unforgettable" experiences and entertainment onboard for guests to enjoy, plus a sundeck, spa and fitness facilities and a whole host of incredible excursions.

Laura Hodges Bethge, President of Celebrity Cruises, said: "We're bringing our latest and greatest Edge Series ship to Europe, enabling guests to discover this diverse region with its stunning coastlines while enjoying Celebrity Ascent's premium facilities, elevated food and drink experiences, and wonderful entertainment."

Eden is home to over 11,800 square feet of event space with three levels of sensory experiences completely wrapped in glass.

The event space includes three stories of windows that look out to the ocean, with two areas of al fresco seating on both sides.

With a variety of games, guests can become members of the casino rewards program, Blue Chip Club, and start earning points with every game played.
