Jawan dies of electrocution, another critical in Odisha's Malkangiri

Malkangiri: A jawan of the 4th SSBN died of electrocution while another sustained critical injuries after coming in contact with an 11KV electric wire on the premises of IRB camp at Nayakguda under Mathili police limits in Odisha’s Malkangiri district, today.

According to reports, jawans Rahul Kumar Behera and Ganga Sabar were trying to realign a displaced high-mast light on the premises, when they came in contact with the live electric wire near the light.

While Behera died on the spot, Sabar was rushed to Mathili hospital and later shifted to the Saheed Laxman Naik Medical College and Hospital in Koraput as his condition deteriorated.
