Jhansi Ki Rani written update, March 22: Manu comes to know that Rama Bai and her newborn were killed

Manu frees her friend Manjari from the enclosure meant for the widows of those times. Manjari's life was made miserable by the people who felt that she had no right to live her life as per her wish. Manu gears up to leave Jhansi for Bithoor along with Manjari and the rest of her loved ones.

Janki Bai, who sees Manu's departure from a distance, is gleeful because she posed hindrance between her and the throne of Jhansi.

People of Jhansi waiting outside the palace chant slogans favouring Manu. They cheer for her, and this irks Ross and his army.

When Manu takes a step out of the palace, Gangadhar recalls all the moments spent with her. He feels nostalgic, and so does the weather. The weather changes drastically. Thunderstorms indicate bad omen as Manu leaves Jhansi.

Meanwhile, the saint, who had reminded Manu of her duties as the Queen, worships Goddess Kali and hopes to see a miracle. Hail and thunderstorm make it difficult for Manu and entourage to move out of Jhansi. Manu halts at the temple she had visited along with Kashi while her entourage proceeds without her.

She finds a woman confessing to committing a crime. She comes to know that the woman had killed Queen Rama Bai and her newborn baby. Manu chases the woman to know the entire truth, but she fails to track her. That's when the saint reappears to share his words of wisdom with her. He asks her to return to Jhansi while narrating the truth to her. To test her conviction, the saint asks her to lift a sword that only the blessed ones can handle. 

Manu lifts it effortlessly, and the saint comes to know that she is the chosen one for Jhansi. Manu vows to avenge all those who have ruined the kingdom and the King.
