Jodhpur man held with e-cigarettes

Ahmedabad: Special Operations Group ( SOG ) of the city crime branch on Saturday caught a man from Jodhpur for possessing 21 e-cigarettes worth Rs 42,000. Police said the 30-year-old wanted to sell them illegally at his perfume shop in Anandnagar.

According to an FIR filed with the Detection of Crime Branch (DCB) by an SOG constable, Narendra Hathisinh, the cops got a tip-off that a man named Jaynil Doshi was selling e-cigarettes illegally from his shop “The Perfume Show” on Jodhpur village road.

A team of SOG raided the shop and found Doshi at the shop and also found 21 e-cigarettes. Doshi did not show any permit for selling those e-cigarettes which were imported from China.

Doshi told cops that he had gone to Mumbai in Dec last year from where he had bought those e-cigarettes. tnn
