John Abraham's Satyameva Jayate 2 to clash with Ajay Devgn's Bhuj: The Pride of India on August 14, 2020?

Last year, John Abraham starrer Satyameva Jayate released on Independence Day and turned out to be a big success. This year, his Batla House is all set to hit the screens on the August 15. And if a recent report

is to be believed then John is all set to mark his hattrick of Independence Day releases next year with the sequel to Satyameva Jayate, titled Satyameva Jayate 2.

The report claims that the makers have locked in August 14, 2020, as the release date of Satyameva Jayate 2 and the shoot of the film is expected to start from November this year. A source revealed, "The first shooting schedule of Satyameva Jayate 2 will begin in November, post the release of Marjaavaan." For those unaware, Marjaavaan

is helmed by Milap Zaveri, who also directed Satyameva Jayate and will steer the ship for Satyameva Jayate 2 as well.

Starring Sidharth Malhotra, Riteish Deshmukh and Tara Sutaria, Marjaavaan is slated for an October 2 release. So, Satyameva Jayate 2 is expected to roll once Milap is done with his upcoming film.

Talking about John Abraham and Independence Day releases, last year, Satyameva Jayate opened alongside Akshay Kumar's Gold and surprised everyone with a strong opening. The movie gave a tough fight to the Akshay Kumar starrer period sports drama and probably became a bigger hit in terms of return on investment.

This year, John Abraham is coming with Batla House, which is based on a true story and will face bigger competitions in the form of Akshay Kumar's Mission Mangal and Prabhas' Saaho. The trailer of Batla House has received a thumbs up from the critics and fans. We'll now have to see how the movie fairs at the box office once it releases.

If August 14, 2020, is indeed the release date of Satyameva Jayate 2, then the movie will clash with Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Dutt starrer Bhuj: The Pride of India

. The war film also features Sonakshi Sinha, Parineeti Chopra, Rana Daggubati and Ammy Virk among others.
