Kaleb Cooper vows to leave Clarkson's Farm - but shares 'frustrating' update

star is feeling "frustrated" as he opened up about his desire to own his own farm. The 25-year-old is best known for being Jeremy Clarkson's right-hand man on the Amazon Prime show.

The former Top Gear presenter, 64, purchased Diddly Squat Farm, located in the Cotswolds, back in 2008 before deciding to try his hand at farming in 2019.

This has been documented on the Prime Video series which is returning for its third season next week. Kaleb has been a keen farmer since the age of 13 and worked on the grounds in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire, in the years before Jeremy took over.

The Chipping Norton resident has always had aspirations of running his own farm, but revealed he is unable to at the moment due to rising costs.

"Everything's through the roof," he told The Telegraph ahead of the new series. "And I don't want to move away from the place I love most."

Kaleb branded the situation "frustrating" but insisted he will stick at it until he achieves his dream. He added: "That's why I'm so busy doing everything possible to get to that dream [of buying a farm]... I'm going to do it one day."

Despite the roaring success of Clarkson's Farm, Kaleb admitted farming comes above his TV career and won't let his newfound fame stop him from purchasing his own farm.

"There's always a lot of talk of, 'Don't change, Kaleb, don't do this and don't do that,' but that really annoys me," he told Amazon.

"I'm 25 years old, yes, but I started my business at 13 years old with some chickens and I then started my contracting business at 16, so I've been doing this a long time and with everything that I do, it's got to revolve around my business."

Kaleb continued: "I'm not going to chuck away my main business, the thing that feeds me, just because I'm on TV. I work every day.

"Farming isn't a job for me, it's a way of life and I love that way of life. My dream is to buy my own farm and that is what I'm aiming towards."

The dad-of-two went on: "There's something that's stuck in my head continuously: dreams don't work unless you do. Farming isn't a job for me, it's a way of life and I love that way of life."

The new series debuts on Friday, May 3 and will see the effects of rising costs as Jeremy and Kaleb go up against each other to see who can make the most money.

Elsewhere, the farm faces some serious challenges such as severe weather issues and there are plenty of emotional moments, including Jeremy's girlfriend Lisa Hogan breaking down in tears.
