Kalka-Pinjore to be no heavy vehicle zone

Panchkula: Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Panchkula Kamaldeep Goyal said that adequate security arrangements have been made for the launch of ‘Jan Aashirwad Yatra’ in Kalka. He said, “Around 500 police personnel will be present at the flagging-off ceremony of the yatra from the grain market in Kalka. Entry of all heavy vehicles has been banned from 4am to 2pm on the Pinjore-Kalka-Baddi road.

Security persons will be deployed from Saturday night at the venue. The entire operation will be monitored personally by me and assisted by ACPs and SHOs of all three police stations.”

Chief whip Gian Chand Gupta said that the yatra would be flagged-off at 10am. He said that, “Rajnath Singh and chief minister will visit Kali Mata temple in Kalka before starting the yatra.” This statewide tour will culminate in Rohtak constituency on September 8.
