Kanpur family goes missing from Jhansi

JHANSI: A family from Kanpur went missing from Jhansi under mysterious circumstances. They were last seen on Friday evening when their car crossed Semri toll plaza near Moth at 7.23pm.


According to the sources, Amit Kesarwani, a businessman from Sisamau, Kanpur left his home along with his wife, Laxmi, and three children on July 12.

They were planning to visit Varanasi however their last location was traced at Chitra crossing in Jhansi after which their phone was found switched off.

On their sudden disappearance, Vinod Kesarwani, Amit’s brother-in-law reached Jhansi on July 13 and met SSP Jhansi. “We have got assurance from the Jhansi police for their cooperation and are now waiting for some breakthrough. we are trying to gather details of GPS of their vehicle. We are now planning to lodge a police complaint here at Kanpur,” said Vinod denying having received any ransom call. He returned after a massive search on possible locations including railway station, bus stand and hotels on July 14.

SSP Jhansi, OP Singh said, “We are trying to trace location of the missing family and are working on all possibilities.”
