Kolkata: Woman elopes with paramour, distraught husband takes 'revenge'

Kolkata: In an attempt to take revenge for his wife's infidelity, a man allegedly laid a trap which resulted in the death of three men. The incident took place on Wednesday, July 17 in West Bengal's Maheshtala. Locals caught hold of the accused and beat him up before handing him over to the police.

The persons injured in the incident were admitted to Calcutta National Medical College and Hospital in a serious condition. The accused was admitted to the Vidyasagar State General Hospital, Kolkata. 

The accused's wife had eloped with her paramour around two weeks ago. The accused allegedly went to the house of a man who was a relative of his wife's paramour and laid a live electric wire outside the building. The accused also burned the clothes that had been drying outside the residence. 

When the victim's family tried to put out the fire, three of them stepped on the live wire and were electrocuted. Six of the family members reportedly suffered burns in the incident. 

Furious at the incident, locals started searching for the accused and found him near Akra railway station. After beating him up, they informed the police and handed him over. 

Three kill neighbour's chickens to take 'revenge' after argument in Gwalior

Following an argument with their neighbour, two men from Gwalior allegedly decided to kill her five roosters. The police registered a case against the accused under Section 429 (mischief by killing or maiming an animal) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

Allegedly, the two accused had an argument with their neighbour following which, they fed poisoned food to the roosters. Station House Officer (SHO) Damodar Gupta said, "Guddu Joshi who lives near Vaishno temple in Gwalior informed us about the entire dispute scene with her neighbours, after which, they killed her roosters by mixing poison in their food. "

Following argument with wife, drunk man rapes his three-year-old daughter to teach her a lesson 

In November last year, a man allegedly raped his minor daughter to teach his wife a lesson. Following the incident, the accused was arrested by the Delhi Police. The accused's wife left their residence after he assaulted her during an argument. Agitated at this, the accused allegedly consumed alcohol and raped his three-year-old daughter.

The incident came to the fore when the woman went back home the following day and saw her daughter lying in a pool of blood. The woman took the minor to the Civil Hospital from where she was referred to the Safdarjung Hospital. The police registered a case under Section 4 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
