KU signs MoU with ICAR-CSSRI, Karnal for advancement in research

Kurukshetra: The Kurukshetra University (KU) Institute of Environmental Studies has entered into collaboration for research and training with Central Soil Salinity Research Institute (CSSRI), Karnal by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The collaboration will be of benefit for the students of MSc Environment Science, MTech Energy and Environment Management as well as PhD scholars of Environment Science as many students are doing summer training and dissertation work in collaboration with scientists of CSSRI, Karnal.




The advance instrumentation facilities and experimental farms available in CSSRI and the advance facilities for research at the Institute of Environmental Studies, KU can now be utilized by the students for mutual collaborations of the two institutes. This MoU will promote and accelerate academic and research programme in KU and CSSRI.

On this occasion KU vice-chancellor Prof Kailash Chandra Sharma; director CSSRI Karnal Dr PC Sharma; KU dean academic affairs Prof Manjula; KU registrar Dr Neeta Khanna; and head of soil and crop management CSSRI Dr RK Yadav were present for the signing of MoU.

Director Institute of Environmental Studies, Prof Smita Chaudhary apprised the guests about the prospects of mutual MoU. She highlighted that the MoU will help the students to sharpen their practical skills, equip them with the ability to work with modern instrumentation and help them excel better in their personal and professional development.
