Lok Sabha elections: NCP wants three seats

The top leadership of the NCP and the Congress party will decide if the two parties will tie up to contest the forthcoming general election, NCP national general secretary and former Gujarat CM Shankersinh Vaghela said.

He added that he has informed the NCP leadership that he is not keen on contesting the Lok Sabha elections .

NCP sources said the party has sought three seats – Panchmahal, Mehsana and Porbandar – but the Congress is yet to respond to the demand. The NCP and the Congress have a tie-up in neighbouring Maharashtra.
