Picture used for representational purpose only LUDHIANA: The Ludhiana Improvement Trust (LIT) is going to organise an e-auction of prime properties next month.

This time, the residential properties are also going to be auctioned. This is the second auction being organised by the department in two months.

The auction will start on December 5 and will be conducted for 23 booths in Maharishi Balmiki Nagar, 3 booths and 19 residential plots in Kitchlu Nagar, 2 booths in SBS Nagar and 19 shop-cum-flats in BRS Nagar.

The residents who are interested to participate in the e-auction can start registering from November 18.

Chairman of LIT Raman Balasubramanium appealed to the buyers for participating in the e-auction being organised by the only improvement trust in Punjab. He said these properties are located in schemes developed by LIT where every necessity has been provided to the residents.

He claimed that it will be beneficial for the public to take part in already developed schemes because these are within city and rate of which they are offering will not be available anywhere else.

Notably, from maiden e-auction, LIT had generated Rs 6.5 crore from sale of 12 properties while auction of six properties was cancelled as bidders had not deposited 10% of total bid.
