Man found with throat slit at home in Mirzapur district
Varanasi: A 48-year-old man was found murdered with his throat slit open at Sarsawa village in Ahraura area of Mirzapur district on late Sunday night.
According to reports, Murari Mishra went to sleep on verandah of his house on Sunday night and on Monday morning his family members found his body lying in a pool of blood.
His throat was cut with some sharp-edged weapon, and his face was mutilated with some blunt object. The body was sent for postmortem.
Six auto-lifters held: The police arrested six members of a gang of auto-lifters in Rasra area of Ballia district on Sunday night. Five stolen motorcycles and a pistol was also recovered.
The arrested persons were identified as Somaru alias Hariom Yadav of Buxur (Bihar), Sribhagwan, Dheeraj Tiwarim Harishankar Yadav, Ajay alias Abdul Aziz and Javed Qureshi, all residents of Ballia. Two members including Abhishek Kumar Singh and Dheeraj Singh managed to escape.
