Man hacks parents to death, held
ALWAR: An elderly couple was hacked to death allegedly by their son following a heated verbal altercation in Bharatpur on Monday.
According to the police, accused Pratap Singh informed the villagers that he had killed his father and mother and asked them to prepare for their last rites.
The police reached the spot and arrested the accused.
Police said that Singh was jobless and spent most of his time at home. Before the incident, he had had a verbal altercation with his parents .
Forensic science laboratory experts reached the spot and collected evidence. They also seized the weapon used in the crime.
Singh was living with his 65-year-old father Deviram and mother Ramveeri (60).
The villagers told police that the elderly couple had only two bighas of land and the financial condition of the family was bad. The couple had recently sold a cow and their son was demanding money from them.
