Man hacks younger brother to death in Odisha's Balasore

Balasore: A man allegedly hacked his younger brother to death over a land dispute at Bishnupur village under Simulia police limits in Odisha’s Balasore district, today.

According to reports, a heated exchange of words erupted between Kailash Majhi and his younger brother Suresh Majhi over a proposal regarding construction of the latter’s house on a patch of land.

The matter took a violent turn as Kailash attacked Suresh with a sharp weapon leaving him critically injured. The victim was admitted to the Bhadrak District Headquarters Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment.

The accused absconded after the death of Suresh. Police have started investigation into the incident and efforts were on to apprehend Kailash.
