According to a report on Filmibeat, the Malayalam survival thriller will be released on Disney+ Hotstar. Now, an official announcement about the same has also been made.

As per the official confirmation, Manjummel Boys

will be available for streaming on May 3. "The boys are coming soon on Disney+ Hotstar," the streaming platform announced on social media. Fans are showing excitement in the comments section. "Eagerly waiting for binge watching", an excited user exclaimed. While most of them wrote, "finally", one of the fans enquired about Hindi OTT release date of Manjummel Boys. "Please also in hindi Language," said a user, while another one added, "Release it in Hindi also please." Another user requested, "Hindi me dub karke release karna Please."

However, the platform has not yet confirmed the languages it will be released in.

Anurag Kashyap reviewed  Manjummel Boys

Anurag Kashyap recently shared the review of Manjummel Boys on Letterboxd, a social media platform dedicated to movie reviews. He wrote, "Simply extraordinary piece of confident mainstream filmmaking. So much better than all the big-budget filmmaking in India. Such confidence, such impossible storytelling. I was wondering how one even sell this idea to a producer. In Hindi, they can only do remakes of such ideas. Hindi cinema really is so far left behind with three back to back brilliant Malayalam films."

Not just Anurag Kashyap, Venkat Prabhu, known for films like Mankatha and Saroja, also praised the film.

He said, "I am so proud of the success of Manjummel Boys in Tennessee. At a time when hero-heroine films work well, it is commendable to see a film with no heroine but only a bunch of boys working better than our films in Tamil Nadu. This proves that language is not important; only art matters."

Directed by Chidambaram, the movie stars Soubin Shahir, Sreenath Bhasi, Balu Varghese, Ganapathi S Poduval, Lal Jr, Deepak Parambol, Abhiram Radhakrishnan, Arun Kurian, Khalid Rahman, Chandu Salimkumar and Vishnu Reghu in pivotal roles.

Based on a true incident and produced by Parava Films, Manjummel Boys revolves around a group of friends from a small town called Manjummel near Kochi who decide to have a vacation in Kodaikanal.
