Medical college guard on duty stabbed to death in Vijayawada
Vijayawada: A security guard was found murdered in Pinnamaneni Siddhartha Medical College in Chinna Avutupalli village of Gannavaram mandal on Friday night.
The deceased was identified as Ch Venkateswara Rao (56) from Markapuram town of Prakasam district. According to Ungutur police, Rao has been working as a security supervisor in the college.
Rao was survived by his wife and two children.
Cops said that the incident took place around 11pm when three miscreants stabbed him to death. Cops suspect that past rivalries were the reason. However, they did not rule out that the miscreants might have been looking for someone else and that Rao was killed for performing his duties.
A case under Section 302 of IPC ( murder ) was registered by Ungutur cops.
