Met Gala 2024: Stray Kids' Bang Chan Reveals 'Fellow Aussies' Took Care Of Group After They Faced Paps' Racist Jabs

The 2024 Met Gala paparazzi might have been extremely disrespectful to Stray Kids, however, that didn't stop the K-pop group from enjoying their time at fashion's biggest night. Leader Bang Chan, who graciously handled the racist jabs from the paps at the red carpet, thanked his 'fellow Aussies' for making the group feel comfortable at the glamorous event.


Bang Chan thanks 'fellow Aussies' after attending Met GalaTaking to Bubble, Chan said, "Just wanted to say that our fellow Aussies took such great care of us and it was so fun thanks to them." While the Connected singer didn't reveal any names, fans speculated that Chris Hemsworth, Troye Sivan and Hugh Jackman were the 'Aussies' Chan was talking about.

For the unversed, the Met paparazzi caused quite a stir due to their behaviour towards Stray Kids. In a now viral clip, a member of the paparazzi could be heard calling Stray Kids robots. "Never seen so many unemotional faces in my life," the pap said. The paparazzi also yelled directions at the group, with one yelling "everyone jump," before another sarcastically asked, "How do you say right in Korean." A third pap could be heard saying, "arigato" and "alright idiots."

Furthermore, when Stray Kids did their outfit reveal, the paparazzi could clearly be heard negatively groaning, with one cameraman commenting that the eight-member group could be confused for two groups due to their with and without jackets snaps.
