THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: An election without Oommen Chandy was unimaginable for Congress workers for the last five decades. This time too even after his death, they are not ready to accept the absence of their beloved leader from the election front.
A 10-minute documentary titled ‘Ennum Kavalal’ containing the speeches made by the former chief minister is ready and will be released on all walls of the party’s and candidate’s social media platforms.

Apart from this, the documentary will also be telecast in the nook and corner of all the constituencies across the state.
“Chandy has never missed an election in his 50 years of political life. This is the first election where his absence is felt. Hence, we thought of creating a documentary with the speeches made by him during various elections in the state,” said the creator of the documentary, P T Chacko, a longtime associate of Chandy.
The major attraction of the documentary is his speech made during the 2019 Lok Sabha election campaign. “In that speech he stakes the claim of Twenty20 for UDF in the Lok Sabha election. This speech is being highlighted in this documentary as the party is anticipating a clean sweep this time too,” Chacko, who was also the press secretary of Chandy, said.

The idea behind the documentary made by the KPCC is to ensure the presence of the most popular leader of the party among the masses during election time. “He was a crowd puller and lived among the masses. Hence, we believe that this documentary will create an impact favouring the party seeing him seeking votes,” Chacko added.
