Missing woman found dead at forest in Odisha's Ganjam

Berhampur: A married woman, who went missing yesterday, was found dead at a forest near Laxminarayanpur under Khallikote police limits in Odisha’s Ganjam district today.

The deceased has been identified as Laxmi Sahu, wife of Govinda Sahu. The woman, hailing from Golanthara area in the district, had gone missing yesterday and a police complaint was lodged in this regard by her family members.

However, her body with injury marks was found at the forest today. Though the reason behind the death of the woman is yet to be ascertained, it is suspected that she was murdered.

Police have started investigation into the incident.
