MP: Pangolin rescued from Neemuch village
INDORE: Forest officials have rescued a pangolin from the residential area of a village in Neemuch district of MP on Thursday.
The pangolin was spotted by villagers in Baman Bardi village , following which the forest officials were informed.
The villagers mistook it for a crocodile due to the exoskeleton.
As the word spread, people gathered to catch a glimpse of the pangolin, a highly protected species under the Wild Life Protection Act, forest sub-divisional officer BP Sharma told reporters.
The pangolin was taken to a veterinarian and found of good health.
