Mumbai NCP President ,Sachin Ahir slammed BMC for falling of 3 year old in Manhole ,At Goregaon

Sachin Ahir slammed BMC for falling of 3 year old in Manhole at Goregaon and sought strict action against BMC officials, responsible for it.

Mumbai:- NCP leader Sachin Ahir Hit out BMC for falling 3 year old boy in to open manhole at Goregaon . He also sought action against BMC officials who are responsible for the incident.

He called the incident unfortunate and said “it seems BMC has not learned anything from its past experience”.

While slamming BMC, he said Rain was not so heavy in last two-three days, despite of that manhole was kept open to pass drainage water.

He also reminded the last year incident of Dr.Amrapurkar who fell in to the manhole and died. He said

“After Dr.Amrapurkar incident Some experts had suggested that net should be fixed on every manhole of the city due to which storm water will pass through it and no chance of falling some one in the manhole.”

“I will appeal to Commissioner of Mumbai to take strict action against concern officers and make sure such unfortunate incident would not happened again”. Said Ahir.

He appealed BMC commissioner that  “before arrival of monsoon Corporation should keep themselves prepare so incident of falling some in Manhole, falling of trees and water logging should not happen every year.”
