Narendra Giri re-elected as president of Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad
ALLAHABAD: Mahant Narendra Giri has been re-elected the president of Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad for the next five years. Giri was elected for the post in the meeting held at Haridwar on Thursday.
Apart from the post of president, mahant Hari Giri of Juna Akhara will again be the general secretary of the ABAP for the next Five years.
Hari Giri is also the chief patron of the Juna aKhara, the largest terms of number of members among the 13 akhara of the country.
In the meeting, held at Haridwar and attended by representatives of all the 13 akhara’s of the country, Narendra Giri was unanimously elected for the post of the president of ABAP. He is also the secretary of Niranjani akhara.
The meeting of the ABAP is attended by 26 members, two each from all the 13 akharas of the country. These members elect their president and general secretary.
