New chiefs for 6 dist consumer forums soon

Thiruvananthapuram: The state government has invited applications from district judges and retired district judges for the posts of president of consumer distress redressal forum for six districts.

Applications have been invited for the post in Thiruvananthapuram , Idukki, Thrissur, Palakkad, Kozhikode and Kannur.

The appointment will be for five years or till the appointed candidate reaches the age of 65 years, whichever is earlier. The application forms are available in directorate of consumer affairs, state consumer distress redressal commission, district collectorates, district supply offices and district consumer distress redressal commission offices. The forms are also available on the website www.consumeraffairs.kerala.gov.in.

The district judges and retired district judges who are willing to apply should submit the application along with the self-certified certificates and biodata to the registrar of the high court.

Those who are eligible to be appointed as district judges, should apply to the secretary of consumer affairs department, government secretariat, before 5pm on November 8. TNN
