MG Windsor Pro to Get Features Inspired by Curvv EV and Creta Electric
JSW MG Motor India is ready to charge up the electric car scene once again with the launch of the Windsor EV Pro on May 6. This new variant brings a boost in range, convenience, and high-tech features—making it a strong rival to the Hyundai Creta Electric and Tata Curvv EV.
Power That Goes Beyond Driving
One of the headline features of the Windsor EV Pro is its Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) charging capabilities. What does that mean? Simply put, the car can not only power external devices—like your laptop or camping gear—but it can even top up the battery of another EV.
Bigger Battery, Longer Drive
Though MG hasn’t spilled all the specs yet, industry insiders suggest the Windsor Pro will get a 50.6 kWh battery—the same one used in Indonesia’s Wuling Cloud EV. That’s a healthy bump from the current 38 kWh pack and could push the car’s range to around 460 km on a single charge. A game-changer for long-distance EV users.
Smarter, Sharper, Safer
On the outside, the changes are subtle but stylish, including new alloy wheels. But it’s the tech inside that’s getting a serious upgrade. Spy shots have confirmed the presence of radar sensors and ADAS badging, which means advanced safety features like adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, and automatic emergency braking will likely be included.
Already a Best-Seller
Since its debut in September 2024, the Windsor EV has taken the Indian EV market by storm, topping sales charts for seven straight months with over 20,000 units sold. Currently, it’s available in three trims—Excite, Exclusive, and Essence, priced between Rs 14 lakh and Rs 16 lakh (ex-showroom).
With the Pro variant joining the lineup, MG seems poised to extend its winning streak. The countdown to May 6 is on—and so is the race to own India’s most exciting new EV.
