Triumph Scrambler 400 XC Launched in India: Price, Specs, Features & More
Triumph Motorcycles has rolled out its latest adventure-ready machine, the Scrambler 400 XC, in India at an ex-showroom price of Rs 2.94 lakh. Positioned as a rugged sibling to the Scrambler 400X, this XC variant commands a Rs 28,000 premium, and is all set to take on competitors like the Royal Enfield Scram 440.
Built for the Wild
The Scrambler 400 XC amps up the off-road character with purposeful additions like an engine guard, sump guard, a high-mounted front fender, flyscreen, and tank pads—all standard. It’s designed to handle rougher terrain while keeping style and functionality intact.
Performance Specs
Under the tank, it packs the same 398cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that churns out 39.5 bhp and 37.5 Nm of torque. The motor is paired with a 6-speed gearbox, offering a smooth and responsive ride whether you're on-road or off.
Suspension & Braking
The Scrambler 400 XC rolls on cross-spoke wheels—a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear—fitted with tubeless dual-purpose tyres for grip on varied surfaces. Suspension duties are handled by a 43mm USD fork up front and an adjustable rear mono-shock. Braking is sharp with a 320mm front disc and 230mm rear disc.
Tech & Features
This scrambler is as modern as it is muscular, with features like:
- Switchable off-road ABS
- Traction control
- Ride-by-wire throttle
- LED lighting
- USB charging port
Colors to Choose From
The Scrambler 400 XC is available in Racing Yellow, Storm Grey, and Vanilla White—each adding a distinct personality to the bike.
With its rugged kit, punchy engine, and solid feature list, the Triumph Scrambler 400 XC brings serious off-road cred to the mid-cap segment. It’s a versatile machine ready for both city commutes and weekend dirt trails.
