CGPDTM Exam Cancelled; Revised Group 'A' Officer Exam Date To Be Announced Soon On qcin.org

The Quality Council of India administered the Preliminary Examination for the Recruitment of Examiners for Patents & Designs (Group A officers) on September 3. Regrettably, the Council has chosen to nullify the examination due to technical issues. This online exam took place at multiple centres in Maharashtra, but numerous candidates who participated reported encountering significant technical problems. In light of these concerns, the Council has decided to invalidate the examination.


The notice issued on September 4 states, “Some Irregularities/ Technical Glitches have been observed in the Online Examination Conducted on 3rd September 2023 for recruitment of Examiners of Patents & Designs (Group ‘A’ officers) for the Office of CGPDTM.” It also mentions, “Competent Authority has decided to cancel the examination to ensure fairness, credibility and transparency in the said recruitment process. The new schedule for examination shall be announced in due course.”

Revised Dates to be Released Soon
Currently, there is no official notice regarding a revised date available on the official website. Nonetheless, candidates who have registered for the exam should remain vigilant and regularly check the official website for any updates to avoid missing crucial information. The council will also issue updated admit cards to the candidates.


It is imperative for aspirants to be aware that carrying a printed copy of the admit card to the examination venue is mandatory. Failure to do so will result in candidates being prohibited from participating in the exams. The admit card will contain essential information such as exam centre details, the candidate's name, exam duration, and guidelines for the examination day.

This recruitment campaign aims to fill a total of 553 positions. The registration process commenced on July 14 and the application deadline was August 4, 2023. For additional information, candidates are encouraged to visit the official website.
