Akshay Kumar 's upcoming film, Housefull 5, has undergone a schedule change. Its release has been rescheduled to 2025 due to extensive VFX requirements. Originally set to premiere next Diwali, the film's new date offers more time for the intricate visual effects to be perfected.

Akshay Kumar chose his social media platforms to make the big reveal. He promised fans an assurance of 'five times' the entertainment this time around and said, “5 times the entertainment is on its way! See you in cinemas on 6th June, 2025.”

The official statement from the makers, "The Houseful! franchise owes its massive success to the audiences, and we hope for a similar reception for Houseful! 5. The team has crafted an absolutely mind-blowing story that demands top-notch VFX. Therefore, we've made the decision to push the release to ensure we deliver five times the entertainment with great cinematic experience.”

Sajid Nadiadwala is supporting the upcoming film, helmed by director Tarun Mansukhani. While the team had initially announced Riteish Deshmukh as the sole confirmed actor for Housefull 5, he's been a mainstay in the franchise since 2010, often alongside Akshay Kumar. This time, they're set to reunite with a fresh cast, promising a new ensemble for the film.
