In a recent interview with ETimes, Atlee was inquired about his intentions regarding submitting the film for consideration at the Oscars , Atlee said, “Of course, even Jawan should go, if everything falls in place. I think every effort, everybody, every director, every technician who is working in cinema, their eyes are on the Golden Globes, Oscars, National Awards, every award. So, definitely, yeah, I would also love to take Jawan to the Oscars. Let's see. I think Khan sir will watch and read this interview. I will also ask him over a call, ‘Sir, should we take this film to the Oscars?”
When he was asked how he feels about never having been given a flop film, Atlee said "I don't know what success is or what is a flop. I don't know. Genuinely, you have to be very happy about what you're doing. And it should create happiness and it should create responsibility after getting the material done. So that's how I see it. And till now, I feel the same as I did in my first film. Even today, I'm doing the same thing I was as a debut filmmaker. Whatever connects to my heart, I have to give that happiness to others. If they feel happy, I feel happy. I don't think ratio-wise, I don't ponder about whether we have done a successful film or not."
