As per the sources, it appears that Deepika Padukone , a Global Ambassador from India, will be unable to attend this year's MET Gala at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City due to scheduling conflicts, despite having graced the Gala's red carpet for three consecutive years.

According to insiders, Deepika Padukone is currently occupied with the filming of Singham 3 and the impending launch of Kalki 2898 AD , scheduled for May. Despite the anticipation surrounding her first child with Ranveer Singh, fans had hoped for her grand presence at the MET Gala.

A well-informed source disclosed, “Deepika Padukone has been a regular on the MET Gala Red Carpet. It is only natural for fans to anticipate her appearance at this year’s MET Gala, especially considering she is India’s biggest global brand ambassador. However, Deepika is in the midst of filming for ‘Singham 3’ which is slated to release later this year along with ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ which is slated to release in May, both of which coincide with this year’s MET Gala. She will therefore not be attending this year’s event.”

Deepika Padukone made her inaugural appearance at the MET Gala in 2017, clad in a sleek slip gown crafted by Tommy Hilfiger, a moment that heralded her role as India’s global ambassador at the esteemed fashion fundraiser gala. Subsequently, in the ensuing years, she captivated onlookers with her opulent attire choices, such as a striking red ensemble fashioned by designer Prabal Gurung in 2018 and a bespoke pink lurex Jacquard gown adorned with 400 three-dimensional embroidered pieces, masterfully crafted by Zac Posen in 2019.

On the professional front, Deepika Padukone is set to grace the screen in Rohit Shetty’s highly anticipated "Singham 3", sharing the stage with a star-studded ensemble including Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Tiger Shroff, and Akshay Kumar. Additionally, audiences can look forward to seeing her in the much-awaited "Kalki 2898 AD", alongside luminaries such as Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan.
