Elvish has made headlines recently due to controversies surrounding his involvement in a snake venom case. Earlier this year, he was apprehended by Noida Police on charges related to the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972, and for alleged criminal conspiracy under section 120B of the Indian Penal Code. According to reports, a day after his arrest, NDTV reported that Elvish had confessed to his involvement in the crimes. However, there has been no official statement released regarding this matter.

A week later, Yadav was released on bail, with a bond set at Rs 50,000. Addressing the media, his lawyer Prashant Rathi stated, "Our argument in this case was that he was falsely accused, and no evidence was found linking him or his friends to any violation of the NDPS act. The court granted bail to him (Elvish Yadav) and his two friends, each providing two sureties of Rs 50,000." Later, Yadav reflected on his time in jail, describing it as a “very bad phase of his life".

Elvish Yadav was recently accused of using banned snakes in his music videos, leading to the filing of a new FIR against him last month.
