Lights, Camera, Action! Huma Qureshi Begins Shooting Her Next Film, 'Gulabi,' In Ahmedabad!

Following the triumph of her beloved web series, Maharani 3, showered with adoration from her fans, Huma Qureshi is once again in the spotlight as she prepares for her forthcoming film, Gulabi . According to reports, the actress is currently in Ahmedabad for the filming of the upcoming project, where she will embody the character of an auto-rickshaw driver.


Huma Qureshi, known for her memorable roles in acclaimed films such as Gangs of Wasseypur, Dedh Ishqiya, Badlapur, and Monica, O My Darling, is set to star in a women-centric film. The actress recently gave a glimpse of her upcoming project on Instagram. In the photo, adorned in a printed saree, sporting a black thread with a pendant around her neck, and a bindi on her forehead, the Ek Thi Daayan actress is seen holding a clapboard marked "Muhurat Shot." The caption enthusiastically declares, "Gulabi is here! Filming Now."




Her colleagues and admirers flooded the comment section with affection and admiration. Actress Bhumi Pednekar cheered her on with a simple yet powerful “Kill it.” Patralekhaa, known for her role in Citylights, affectionately referred to Huma as "My sister." Anisha Padukone, sister of Deepika Padukone, conveyed her support with a string of arm emojis symbolizing strength. A fan commented, “Congratulations and all the best!!” Another fan excitedly wrote, “I am waiting eagerly for Gulabi.”

Vipul Mehta's upcoming directorial venture, Gulabi, delves into the narrative of an auto-rickshaw driver. The film's announcement on International Women’s Day sparked immense excitement among her fans. Gulabi draws inspiration from a real-life incident involving a courageous auto-rickshaw driver who emerged as a beacon of change, igniting inspiration among numerous women. In an interview, producer Vishal Rana expressed his enthusiasm for commencing the shoot of Gulabi in Ahmedabad. The project is poised to unveil a compelling tale that resonates with the audience. He further lauded Huma's exceptional acting prowess, stating that she is poised to once again captivate audiences with her enchanting performance on the silver screen.

On her recent ventures, Huma Qureshi's portrayal of the renowned cook Tarla Dalal in "Tarla" marked her latest appearance. Directed by Piyush Gupta, the film also features notable talents such as Sharib Hashmi, Bharati Achrekar, Bhawana Somaaya, and Amarjeet Singh.
