Mumbai Police Files Case As Clips From Shah Rukh Khan's New Movie "Jawan" Leak On Twitter

Video snippets from the movie ' Jawan ,' featuring Shahrukh Khan, have gained immense traction online, leading Red Chillies Entertainment to take legal action against an unknown individual. The production company has filed a complaint under the Information Technology Act, accusing the person of theft. The formal report was submitted at Santacruz police station on August 10th. According to the First Information Report (FIR), an individual allegedly pilfered scenes from the 'Jawan' movie and subsequently posted them on Twitter, thereby infringing upon copyright regulations.

While in the process of filming, Red Chillies Entertainment had expressly forbidden the use of mobile phones and recording devices at the shooting venue. However, in defiance of this policy, an unauthorised individual took it upon themselves to distribute the video clips. This act seems to be aimed at sabotaging the reputation of the company and devaluing the film.

Red Chillies Entertainment successfully pinpointed five Twitter accounts responsible for disseminating the movie clips. While the company issued legal notifications to these handles, only one of them responded to confirm the receipt of the notice.

Following that, Red Chillies Entertainment initiated a commercial lawsuit in the Delhi High Court. As a result of this legal action, the court issued an order requiring the specified Twitter handle to eliminate the circulated clips. Subsequently, the clips were removed in compliance with the court's instruction.

'Jawan' is an upcoming action thriller film in the Indian Hindi language, co-written and directed by Atlee. This film marks Atlee's debut in the Hindi film industry. The movie is produced by Gauri Khan and Gaurav Verma under Red Chillies Entertainment. The cast includes Shahrukh Khan in a dual role, alongside Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Deepika Padukone (making a special appearance), Priyamani, and Sanya Malhotra.

The Santacruz police station filed a case under the provisions of sections 379 (theft) of the IPC Act and 43(b) of the Information Technology Act.
