Ramayana Begins Filming Without Ranbir Kapoor: Here's The latest Update
Ranbir Kapoor's latest film, Animal, has received an overwhelming response from both fans and critics. The movie stormed the box office, marking a historic achievement as Ranbir's most successful opening to date. Currently, the actor is gearing up for the filming of Nitesh Tiwari's much-anticipated mythological epic, Ramayana. Reports suggest that the filming has already commenced in Mumbai, and Ranbir along with the lead actors are slated to join the shoot early next year.
According to a source close to the team who spoke to Dainik Bhasker, "The film’s shoot has been underway for the past 20 days and is set to extend for another one and a half months, making the total duration of the shoot approximately two and a quarter months. The principal photography, featuring lead actors Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, and KGF actor Yash, is scheduled to commence in the new year, with shooting expected to kick off in March."
The source elaborated, stating, “the shooting has been quite similar the way Hollywood’s Avatar was being shot in it’s initial phase. ‘Ramayana’ is currently being staged in Mumbai, as the mock shoots of the other actors are being done. There are hundreds of other roles in Ramayana which are being shot at the moment. Later, with the help of special effects during VFX, those suits will be changed to the costumes of soldiers and kings and emperors of the Ramayana era.”
Allegedly, Nitesh Tiwari is not presently engaged in the ongoing filming. The technical crew from producer Namit Malhotra's team is currently overseeing the shoot. Upon assessing the progress, Nitesh is anticipated to initiate the filming process with his lead actors in the upcoming year.
In the film, Ranbir Kapoor is set to portray the character of Ram, while Sai Pallavi is confirmed to essay the role of Sita. Additionally, Yash has been chosen to depict the character of Ravana in the upcoming project.
