Get Ready for Drake's 'For All the Dogs' Album: Release Date Unveiled
Drake announced on Instagram last night, September 6th, that his upcoming album, " For All the Dogs ," is scheduled for release on September 22nd.
“FOR ALL THE DOGS SEPTEMBER 22,” Drake posted an Instagram reel showcasing an old video of his father, Dennis Graham, performing under the alias "Cousin Dennis" with a blues band on a local Toronto TV show called "Stormy Monday With Danny Marks" in the early 1990s. In the video, Graham introduces himself, saying, "I'm Dennis Graham from Memphis, Tennessee," before delivering a memorable performance that includes an impressive harmonica solo.
In June, Drake gave fans a sneak peek of his upcoming album and its title by placing a full-page advertisement in prominent publications such as the New York Post, Los Angeles Times, and Houston Chronicle. The ad was aimed at promoting his poetry collection titled "Titles Ruin Everything: A Stream of Consciousness," co-authored by Aubrey Drake Graham and Kenza Samir, set to release in July. Included in the advertisement was a QR code directing readers to the website titlesruineverything.com.
“I made an album to go with the book,” Drake wrote on the site at the time. “They say they miss the old Drake girl don’t tempt me. FOR ALL THE DOGS.”

Drake's upcoming album will mark his eighth studio release, and it's his initial solo project since the dance-infused "Honestly, Nevermind," which dropped in June 2022. Additionally, he collaborated with 21 Savage on the joint album "Her Loss," which was released in November 2022. Notably, both of these albums achieved the impressive feat of debuting at the top spot on the Billboard 200 chart.
Before Drake made his announcement, Doja Cat had already disclosed that her upcoming album, titled Scarlet, is scheduled for release on September 22nd.
Drake and 21 Savage are currently co-headlining the "It's All a Blur Tour."
