Attention SBI Customers! Annual Maintenance Charges For Some Debit Cards To Increase By Rs 75 Starting April 1

Come April 1, 2024, State Bank of India (SBI) customers will notice a revision in the annual maintenance charges for select debit cards . The bank announced an upward adjustment of Rs 75 for certain debit card categories, as detailed on their official website.


# Changes at a Glance

Here’s a breakdown of the revisions:


* Classic Debit Cards:

The annual maintenance fee for Classic, Silver, Global, and Contactless Debit Cards will rise to Rs 200 + GST from the current Rs 125 + GST.


* Specialized Debit Cards:

For specialized debit cards like Yuva, Gold, Combo Debit Card, and My Card (Image Card), customers will now incur an annual maintenance charge of Rs. 250 + GST, up from the previous Rs. 175 + GST.

* Platinum Debit Card:

SBI Platinum debit cardholders will witness an increase in annual maintenance charges to Rs. 325 + GST from the existing Rs. 250 + GST.


* Pride Premium Business Debit Card:

For SBI Pride Premium Business Debit Card holders, the annual maintenance fee will be adjusted to Rs 425+ GST from the previous Rs 350 + GST.

# Reward Points System Amendments

In addition to the debit card fee adjustments, SBI has also revised its reward points system for certain credit cardholders. Starting April 1, 2024, the accrual of reward points on rent payment transactions will be temporarily suspended for specific credit cardholders.

Furthermore, for select credit cards, any accrued reward points on rent payment transactions will expire on April 15, 2024.
