LPG Cylinder Subsidy for Women
The government has announced a subsidy on LPG cylinders specifically for women, offering a substantial ₹300 discount. With the current market price of a gas cylinder at ₹803, eligible women can purchase it for just ₹503.

Eligibility Criteria and Conditions

However, this subsidy isn't universally available. To benefit, women must be registered under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY). Additionally, only one member per family with an LPG connection in their name is eligible. The scheme provides three gas cylinders of 14.2 kg each annually.

There are some crucial conditions to keep in mind:

  • Beneficiaries must already have an LPG connection in their name.
  • New ration card holders, issued after July 1, 2024, will not qualify for this benefit.
  • The subsidy amount of ₹300 will be directly transferred to the beneficiary’s bank account, providing flexibility and ease of use.
