A beloved Punjab couple, Sehaj Arora and Gurpreet Kaur , famed for their unique " Kulhad Pizza " offering on the streets of Jalandhar, are presently at the centre of a controversy . They recently made headlines again, not for their delicious culinary innovation, but due to a contentious video making rounds on social media platforms.

The duo, who garnered immense popularity on social media with videos of their pizza preparation and heartwarming love story, have found themselves embroiled in an alleged extortion bid. A video, said to be of them in a compromising position, was released on various platforms. Sehaj Arora , in response, released a statement on Wednesday categorically dismissing the video as fake and fabricated.

In an Instagram video, Arora elaborated that they were threatened with the release of the video unless they paid an undisclosed amount. Following their refusal, the video was then made public. Arora speculates that the contentious clip might be a product of AI and has thus, approached the Jalandhar police, filing an official complaint against the blackmail.

Amidst the controversy, Arora shared another message detailing the personal and emotional strain that he and his wife, who recently welcomed a baby, are currently enduring. He disclosed that the alleged extortionist has since been apprehended by the police.

On his Instagram account, Sehaj mentioned that around 15 days ago, an extortionist sent us a controversial video on Instagram, demanding money. We refused the extortion bid and immediately reported the incident to the authorities.



He also mentioned that they have become parents recently, which added to their distress. Emotionally, he appealed to the public for understanding and respect during these trying times.

This incident has not only affected the couple but also stirred their substantial social media following. With Sehaj boasting over 900,000 followers and Gurpreet having about 500,000 followers on Instagram, their plea for understanding and respect has resonated widely.

Many netizens have rallied behind the couple, condemning the extortion attempt and the spread of the fake video. Despite the massive traction their videos have garnered (over 200,000 views), the couple has opted to disable comments on their posts.

Karan Dutta , a YouTuber , was accused by Arora of disseminating the fake video. However, Dutta was quick to refute these allegations on his channel, questioning the claims made by Sehaj Arora.

The incident serves as a stark reminder of the potential dangers and challenges social media personalities may face in their rise to stardom.
