- Visit a nearby Aadhaar Enrolment Centre.
- Complete the Aadhaar Update/Correction Form, ensuring to include your new mobile number.
- Submit the form to an Aadhaar executive.
- Verify your details using biometrics.
- Pay the service fee of Rs. 50.
- Receive an acknowledgement slip with the Update Request Number (URN) for tracking. Your mobile number update will reflect in Aadhaar's database within 30 days.
No additional documents are required for this update; just carry your Aadhaar card and pay the stipulated fee at the nearest Aadhaar Centre.
Changing Mobile Number in Aadhaar Card Online:
Changing or adding a mobile number to Aadhaar can also be done online without visiting a physical Aadhaar Seva Kendra. Follow these steps:
- Visit the Indian Postal Service website link provided.
- Enter your details such as name, address, new mobile number, email, etc.
- Select 'PPB- Aadhaar Service' from the drop-down menu.
- Choose 'UIDAI-Mobile/Email to Aadhaar linking/update'.
- Request OTP and enter it on the website.
- Confirm the service request to receive a Reference Number.
- The request will be forwarded to the nearest post office for verification.
- An officer will conduct verification at your address using a mobile biometric device.
- Upon successful verification, the officer will update/link the mobile number and charge the service fee.
