Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has underscored the significance of Sanatan Dharma , declaring it as the sole religion , while categorizing other faiths as sects or methods of worship. He firmly asserted that any attack on Sanatan Dharma has the potential to jeopardize the well-being of all of humanity.

The Chief Minister's statement comes in response to a controversial comment made by DMK leader Udhayanidhi Stalin , who had called for the eradication of Sanatan Dharma.

In a gathering at the Gorakhnath Temple in Gorakhpur, during the concluding session of the ' Shrimad Bhagwat Katha Gyan Yagya,' which lasted seven days and commemorated the 54th death anniversary of Mahant Digvijay Nath and the ninth death anniversary of Mahant Avaidyanath, Adityanath shared his perspective.

“Sanatana Dharma is the only religion, the rest are all sects and methods of worship. Sanatan is the religion of humanity and any attack on it will put entire humanity in danger,” Adityanath affirmed.

Addressing devotees in the Digvijay Nath Smriti Auditorium of the temple, the Chief Minister, who also holds the title of Gorakshpeethadhishwar, highlighted the importance of maintaining an open mindset to comprehend the essence of Shrimad Bhagwat .

"Narrow-minded perspectives struggle to comprehend its vastness," he observed.

Adityanath reassured the devotees that the teachings of Bhagwad Katha they had immersed themselves in for seven days would bring about positive transformations in their lives. He also emphasized that the story of Bhagwat is boundless and cannot be confined to specific days or hours.

Expressing his pride in being an Indian, Adityanath noted that it is a rare privilege to be born in India and even rarer to be born as a human.
